{"id":1584,"date":"2023-11-17T01:28:40","date_gmt":"2023-11-17T01:28:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=1584"},"modified":"2023-11-17T01:28:40","modified_gmt":"2023-11-17T01:28:40","slug":"one-of-canadas-most-advanced-lithium-explorers-now-has-24-9mt-in-the-bag-with-more-to-come","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=1584","title":{"rendered":"One of Canada\u2019s most advanced lithium explorers now has 24.9Mt in the bag, with more to come"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>13% increase to 6.1Mt of Seymour\u2019s indicated resource<br \/>\n58-hole diamond drilling program to upgrade North and South Aubry underway<br \/>\nAssays pending for 13 holes and drilling at Junior planned for next year <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report:<\/em> Green Technology Metals has boosted confidence in its 10.3Mt Seymour project in Ontario after increasing indicated resources by 13% to 6.1Mt @ 1.25% Li2O.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 2023, the hard drilling stock increased its global resources from 9.9Mt to 24.9Mt \u2014 with more to come \u2014 ahead of its goal of becoming Ontario\u2019s first battery-grade lithium producer.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/green-technology-metals-gt1\/\"><strong>Green Technology Metals (ASX:GT1)<\/strong><\/a> is already making good progress on this front with <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/dms-test-work-results-on-par-with-some-of-the-worlds-best-hard-rock-lithium-projects-green-technology-metals-says\/\"><strong>Dense Media Separation (DMS) test work<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>on material from Seymour successfully producing a high-quality 6.8% Li2O concentrate with recovery rates of about 71.6%.<\/p>\n<p>This confirmed that a modularised DMS circuit is the right option to process spodumene concentrate from Seymour. Great news for investors, as it simplifies the permitting process and does not require floatation reagents and chemicals, which minimises operations risk and lowers production costs.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Resource upgrade to feed into economic assessment<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The increase in indicated resources at Seymour also takes the project\u2019s overall resources up to 10.3Mt at 1.03% Li2O and global inventory across both projects from 24.5Mt at 1.14% Li2O up to 24.9Mt at 1.13% Li2O.<\/p>\n<p>GT1 said the revised resource estimate makes notable improvements over the interim resource that was delivered in December 2022.<\/p>\n<p>These include improved geological confidence achieved through additional peripheral holes and a comprehensive geological reinterpretation from Bayside Geoscience.<\/p>\n<p>Resource models have also been constrained to pit shells generated through the Micromine Pit Optimiser module, which enables more accurate targeting of prospective regions.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Drilling continues<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Further growth is likely with the company carrying out a 58-hole program totalling 7,736m at both the North and South Aubry deposits that make up Seymour.<\/p>\n<p>Nine interpreted stacked pegmatite units of varying thickness \u2013 seven in North Aubry and two in South Aubry are being drill-tested to add to GT1\u2019s overall Seymour resource.<\/p>\n<p>13 holes for 3,000m are completed so far and assays are pending.
