{"id":1416,"date":"2023-11-14T18:10:19","date_gmt":"2023-11-14T18:10:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=1416"},"modified":"2023-11-14T18:10:19","modified_gmt":"2023-11-14T18:10:19","slug":"long-shortz-with-maximus-resources-lithium-drilling-under-way-in-wa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=1416","title":{"rendered":"Long Shortz with Maximus Resources: Lithium drilling under way in WA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With international backing to the tune of nearly $5 million, it\u2019s not hard to see why the Maximus team is excited about its latest drilling campaign in Western Australia.<\/p>\n<p>Stockhead\u2019s Sarah Hughan sits down with <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/maximus-resources-mxr\/\">Maximus Resources (ASX:MXR)<\/a> managing director Tim Wither to get the short end of the long story on the company\u2019s latest works.<\/p>\n<p>Maximus <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/going-worldwide-maximus-shares-rocket-in-early-trade-on-lithium-partnerships-with-south-korean-government-and-lg-energy\/\">inked a deal<\/a> with South Korean government agency KOMIR last month, securing roughly $4.8 million in funding to take the drill bit to its Lefroy project in the Eastern Goldfields under a JV deal.<\/p>\n<p>The company kicked off a <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/maximus-and-its-korean-jv-partner-begin-quest-to-find-the-next-mt-marion-lithium-mine\/\">3,000m RC program<\/a> at Lefroy, near Kambalda, earlier this month. Lefroy is located in the same lithium province as Mt Marion and Pioneer Dome.<\/p>\n<p>Just 25km from Kambalda, Lefroy was initially identified by numerous outcropping pegmatites coinciding with a 2km by 1km soil anomaly.
