{"id":1395,"date":"2023-11-14T03:57:35","date_gmt":"2023-11-14T03:57:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=1395"},"modified":"2023-11-14T03:57:35","modified_gmt":"2023-11-14T03:57:35","slug":"living-next-door-to-chalice-western-yilgarns-julimar-west-project-is-about-to-be-explored-for-the-first-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=1395","title":{"rendered":"Living next door to Chalice: Western Yilgarn\u2019s Julimar West project is about to be explored for the first time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Western Yilgarn secures highly prospective and sought after Julimar West exploration licence<br \/>\nJulimar West is just 2.5km from Chalice Mining\u2019s Gonneville nickel-copper-PGE find<br \/>\nHeli-borne EM surveying will be carried out to define disseminated massive sulphide targets<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report:<\/em> Finally, Western Yilgarn has its highly sought-after exploration licence at Julimar West, just 2.5km from Chalice Mining\u2019s world-class Gonneville nickel-copper-PGE discovery in WA.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Gonneville discovery in March 2020 at Julimar was one of the most exciting in recent years, leading to a pegging rush by explorers looking to cash in on nearology.<\/p>\n<p>However, efforts to find the next Gonneville, which has a contained resources of 16Moz of platinum+palladium+gold, 860,000t nickel, 520,000t copper and 83,000t cobalt, have proven futile to date.<\/p>\n<p>Julimar West might just change that equation as <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/western-yilgarn-wyx\/\"><strong>Western Yilgarn\u2019s (ASX:WYX)<\/strong><\/a> application for the project in 2018 actually predates Chalice\u2019s discovery of Gonneville.<\/p>\n<p>While award of tenement ELA 70\/5111 was delayed <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/chalices-world-class-nickel-find-is-edging-toward-western-yilgarns-untouched-julimar-west-project\/\">thanks to a quirk of government policy called a File Notation Area (FNA)<\/a>, it has meant that Chalice\u2019s exploration successes have actually ensured that its prospectivity is now unquestioned.<\/p>\n\n<p>This is exemplified by all four prospects at Julimar \u2014 Dampier, Hooley, Hartog and the main Gonneville resource \u2014 being open along strike west toward tenement ELA 70\/5111, leading Chalice and Caspin Resources to make applications over the project area.<\/p>\n<p>These competing applications have now been voided by the award of the 348.7km2 exploration tenement, which has seen little to no modern exploration, to WYX.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Exploration to begin soon<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Julimar West regional map.
