On January 7, 2025, Sony will acquire 12,054,100 new shares in KADOKAWA through a third-party allotment, cementing its position as KADOKAWA&#8217;s largest shareholder with a 10% stake. The deal, valued at approximately 50 billion yen, represents a significant milestone in the two companies\u2019 long-standing partnership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Expanding a Global IP Ecosystem<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The alliance is rooted in a shared vision to maximize the global value of both companies&#8217; extensive IP portfolios.
