{"id":1277,"date":"2023-11-12T11:42:59","date_gmt":"2023-11-12T11:42:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=1277"},"modified":"2023-11-12T11:42:59","modified_gmt":"2023-11-12T11:42:59","slug":"roolife-locks-in-a-bigger-deal-to-sell-remedy-drinks-hydralyte-and-fiji-kava-in-major-china-pharmacies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=1277","title":{"rendered":"Roolife locks in a bigger deal to sell Remedy Drinks, Hydralyte and Fiji Kava in major China pharmacies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Roolife Group expands supply agreements with Shanghai No.1 Pharmaceuticals Company<br \/>\nMemorandum of Understanding signed at China International Import Expo this week<br \/>\nFirst order received for Roolife Group\u2019s exclusive-in-China brand, Remedy Drinks Kombucha<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report:<\/em><\/strong> <strong>Roolife Group has expanded its supply deal with Shanghai Stock Exchange-listed Shanghai\u00a0 No.1\u00a0 Pharmaceuticals\u00a0 Company as it joined more than 250 Aussie companies at the China International Import Expo (CIIE) this week. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/roolife-group-rlg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Roolife Group (ASX:RLG)<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0 subsidiary RLG Marketplace Pty Ltd and Shanghai No.1 Pharmacy signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) witnessed by Australian Investment and Trade Commission, the Australian Consul General\u00a0 and\u00a0 Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk at the CIIE.<\/p>\n<p>Under the MOU, RLG will provide the pharmacy several brands and products that it has the rights to market and distribute in China including Remedy Drinks, Fiji Kava, Hydralyte and\u00a0 RLG\u2019s VORA health range.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>From Left to Right: <span>Stephanie Yin, <\/span>Queensland Premier <span>Annastacia Palaszczuk and RLG\u2019s Bryan Carr\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span>Image: supplied by Roolife Group\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/food-agriculture\/great-way-to-start-roolife-inks-deal-with-major-china-pharmaceutical-group-following-aulife-partnership\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RLG first announced in late August<\/a> it had secured a $950k contract to source and supply products for\u00a0Shanghai No.1\u00a0 Pharmaceuticals.<\/p>\n<p>The deal followed RLG\u2019s partnership with China-focused e-commerce company AULife International announced in mid-August.<\/p>\n<p>Under the MOU, the term of cooperation is for five years with sales order targets for the\u00a0 first year and aggregate five-year period. The products will be\u00a0 sold\u00a0 in China online and\u00a0 in\u00a0 physical\u00a0 stores\u00a0 of Shanghai\u00a0 No.1 Pharmacy.<\/p>\n<p>RLG says transactions will be managed by individual purchase orders for products required, with the first new order being\u00a0 for\u00a0 RLG\u2019s exclusive-in-China brand Remedy Drinks Kombucha.<\/p>\n<p>The company says the first order is not yet material in revenue value but significant in providing a new channel and customer access for Remedy Drinks in China.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Extensive network presents opportunity<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>As a pharmaceutical wholesaler and retailer, Shanghai No.1 Pharmacy operates an extensive network of regular chain drug stores in China and an online marketplace<\/p>\n<p>The company is part of the large state-owned Bailian Group and so\u00a0 presents a strong sales channel for marketing and distributing RLG\u2019s\u00a0 international\u00a0 health, wellness, food and beverage products in China.<\/p>\n<p>RLG says it has received media coverage in China, including coverage in the People\u2019s Daily,\u00a0 highlighting its sales achievements and range of products, including its VORA health\u00a0 range\u00a0 and successful launch and positioning of\u00a0 Remedy Drinks Kombucha.<\/p>\n<p>The CIIE is one of the world\u2019s largest trade shows. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Trade Minister Don Farrell were among Aussie dignitaries attending.<\/p>\n<p>It is considered as a major initiative of the Chinese Government to open the China market to the world, with companies from more than 100 countries attending.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Opportunity for brands selling into China<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>RLG CEO Bryan Carr says meeting directly at an event as significant as CIIE with its important sales partner Shanghai No.1 confirms the opportunity for international brands selling into China.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is fantastic to have the support of the Australian and Queensland governments recognising this business opportunity in China as we broaden the reach for our brand portfolio in the country,\u201d Carr says.<\/p>\n<p>He says Australia\u2019s strong representation at CIIE acknowledges that China is one of Australia\u2019s largest trading partners.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe attendance of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese emphasised the existing and still growing opportunities for trade between the two countries,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cExpanding and delivering these new distribution channels provides additional opportunities for growth for our partner health, food and beverage clients in China.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is confirmed and supported by receiving a first order for Remedy Drinks Kombucha and we look forward to continuing to expand on this first sales order.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>This article was developed in collaboration with Roolife Group, a Stockhead advertiser at the time of publishing. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This article does not constitute financial product advice.
