{"id":11465,"date":"2024-06-27T00:59:50","date_gmt":"2024-06-27T00:59:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=11465"},"modified":"2024-06-27T00:59:50","modified_gmt":"2024-06-27T00:59:50","slug":"pure-hydrogen-expands-sales-pipeline-with-supply-of-hydrogen-powered-waste-collection-vehicle-to-the-city-of-newcastle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=11465","title":{"rendered":"Pure Hydrogen expands sales pipeline with supply of hydrogen-powered waste collection vehicle to the City of Newcastle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pure Hydrogen to supply hydrogen fuel cell (HFC) waste collection vehicle to the City of Newcastle<br \/>\nVehicle to be leased for an initial 12-month trial with the option for a four-year extension<br \/>\nLease is the company\u2019s fifth order for HFC waste collection vehicles<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report:<\/em> Pure Hydrogen has executed a term sheet to supply a rear-loading hydrogen fuel cell-powered (HFC) waste collection vehicle to the City of Newcastle, NSW.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The term sheet highlights the ongoing momentum of the Company\u2019s stated strategy to expand the sales pipeline of its HFC vehicle offerings.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/pure-hydrogen-corporation-ph2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Pure Hydrogen (ASX:PH2)<\/strong><\/a> had previously\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/energy\/pure-hydrogen-marks-entry-into-south-australia-with-sales-contract-for-hydrogen-waste-collection-vehicle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>executed an additional sales agreement<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0with Australian waste management company Solo Resource Recovery for a rear-loading HFC waste collection truck that will be deployed in Adelaide.<\/p>\n<p>That vehicle is expected to be deployed in the second half of this calendar year and will be one of three demonstration waste collection trucks.<\/p>\n<p>Solo is also taking delivery of two garbage trucks with one \u2013 a side loader \u2013 to be deployed in northern NSW while the other will be deployed by the City of West Torrens council in Adelaide.<\/p>\n<p>Potential sales could also come from JJ\u2019s Waste and Recycling where the HFC waste removal truck\u00a0passed all tests with final approval pending from the federal government before it goes into service.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><em>The City of Newcastle has ordered a HFC waste truck similar to this one. Pic: Pure Hydrogen<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Fifth vehicle order<\/h2>\n<p>PH2\u2019s latest term sheet agreement sets out a framework for the City of Newcastle to lease the vehicle and carry out a 12 month trial with the option of a four-year extension.<\/p>\n<p>Notably for PH2, the lease arrangement marks the fifth vehicle order for HFC waste collection vehicles that it is supplying to the Australian market.<\/p>\n<p>It also adds to the growing pipeline of sales contracts and vehicle trials for the company\u2019s market-leading suite of hydrogen vehicles for both domestic and international customers.<\/p>\n<p>The waste collection vehicle will be supplied by Pure Hydrogen subsidiary Hdrive International, with the body of the vehicle to be supplied and fitted by the Australian division of global equipment provider Bucher Municipal.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pure Hydrogen garbage truck deployment locations across Australia, including lease with City of Newcastle:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It will run on green hydrogen produced by renewable energy-powered electrolysers that crack water into oxygen and hydrogen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are pleased to announce the latest hydrogen truck leasing agreement and we commend the City of Newcastle for taking this step,\u201d managing director Scott Brown said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPure Hydrogen is at the forefront of the emerging hydrogen economy and this partnership further demonstrates our growing presence in the waste management sector in Australia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough partnerships with leading Australian waste management companies and city councils in multiple states, this lease marks the company\u2019s fifth order for HFC waste collection vehicles in Australia, alongside advanced trials for a hydrogen-powered prime mover.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we continue to successfully execute our hydrogen vehicle strategy, Pure Hydrogen is on track to deliver significant vehicles in FY25 and we look forward to providing more updates in the second half of CY2024.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><span class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><span class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>This article was developed in collaboration with Pure Hydrogen, a Stockhead advertiser at the time of publishing. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>This article does not constitute financial product advice.
