Good morning everyone, and welcome to Thursday \u2013 the day of the week that most reminds me of an elderly Volvo sedan I once owned.<\/p>\n
It was baby-poo yellow, except for the rust, none of the windows worked \u2013\u00a0they happily went down, never to be seen again \u2013\u00a0and it had a hole in the fuel tank that would piddle petrol everywhere I went, unless I left the petrol cap slightly unscrewed to relieve the pressure in the tank.<\/p>\n
I tried for months to fix that leak \u2013 tried everything from gaffer tape to sheets of fibreglass \u2013 and eventually fixed it after reading in a magazine that a half-chewed Mintie, once thumbed across the leak, would set rock-hard and my troubles would be over.<\/p>\n
It worked like a charm, lasting precisely two days before a wayward geriatric decided his equally geriatric Kingswood would look a lot nicer in the parcel of Parramatta Road that the back half of my Volvo was currently in.<\/p>\n
