On a day when markets finished flat, the highlight of the day was ASX debutant Close the Loop (ASX:CLG)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This company, which provides resource collection, recycling company and sustainable packaging solutions listed at 20 cents per share but closed at 31 cents \u2013 a 55% premium.<\/p>\n

The ASX 200 closed lower at 7,225 points, 0.15% lower than yesterday but well off intraday lows.<\/p>\n

Utilities was the best sector with a 1.5% gain followed by industrials which was 0.79%. The worst sector was tech which lost 3.19%.<\/p>\n

Still with lithium, Greenwing Resources (ASX:GW1)<\/strong><\/a> rose on initial exploration work on its San Jorge lithium brine project in Argentina, just two months after snapping up the project.<\/p>\n

Just when it seemed Wesfarmers (ASX:WES)<\/strong><\/a> was set to acquire Australian Pharmaceuticals Industries (ASX:API)<\/strong><\/a>, Woolworths (ASX:WOW)<\/strong><\/a> made a late bid which sent API shares up another 15%.<\/p>\n

Tymlez (ASX:TYM)<\/strong><\/a> dropped off the back of no news but enough for the ASX to issue a price query. The company\u2019s only explanation was its new membership of the Australian Hydrogen Council, which it paid $5,000 for a 12 month term.<\/p>\n

Liontown Resources (ASX:LTR)<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0fell after completing its latest capital raising but is still at a very healthy premium to the 26 cents it traded at a year ago today.<\/p>\n

ANNOUNCEMENTS YOU MAY\u2019VE MISSED<\/h2>\n

APRA has announced it will require domestic systemically important banks to increase total capital by another 1.5% of risk weighted assets by January 2026 resulting in a total increase of 4.5%. NAB (ASX:NAB)<\/strong><\/a> and ANZ (ASX:ANZ)<\/strong><\/a> both told their shareholders they should be in a position to meet these requirements.<\/p>\n

Emergency building works John Lyng Group (ASX:JLG)<\/strong><\/a> announced Suncorp (ASX:SUN)<\/strong><\/a> had extended its building insurance repairs contract with them. John Lyng was initially appointed three years ago and this extension is for another three years backdated from November the 1st.<\/p>\n

The Fair Work Ombudsman launched proceedings against Coles (ASX:COL)<\/strong><\/a> alleging underpayments of team members that were covered by the General Retail Industry Award 2010. The legal action follows a review that has been running since February 2020.<\/p>\n

Suspended penny stock Tomizone (ASX:TOM)<\/strong><\/a> gave its shareholders an updates on its efforts to be reinstated. The company completed a financial restructuring resulting in a substantial amount of its debt into equity with remaining amounts falling under a moratorium while the restructure is completed.<\/p>\n

Manuka Resources (ASX:MKR)<\/strong><\/a> advised shareholders its Mt Boppy mine site was hit by flash blooding earlier this week that saw 100mm fall in just 30 minutes. The company says the weather event had interrupted mining temporarily but stockpiles built up over recent months meant it could handle approximately three months without new production.<\/p>\n

Pure Foods Tasmania (ASX:PFT)<\/strong><\/a> announced its YTD revenue was up 72% compared to the prior corresponding period. It also announced the first order of its plant based cheese into the Indian market.<\/p>\n

Less than a year since listing diversified Australasian Gold (ASX:A8G)<\/strong><\/a> will be officially changing its name to Australasian Metals tomorrow. While the company was named for its gold assets, it has gained momentum off the back of its advances in the lithium space<\/a>.<\/p>\n
