{"id":11157,"date":"2024-06-20T02:40:24","date_gmt":"2024-06-20T02:40:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=11157"},"modified":"2024-06-20T02:40:24","modified_gmt":"2024-06-20T02:40:24","slug":"belararox-spots-another-porphyry-target-at-argentinian-copper-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=11157","title":{"rendered":"Belararox spots another porphyry target at Argentinian copper project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Belararox\u2019s geological mapping finds second target at the TMT project in Argentina<br \/>\nResults confirm Tambo South another porphyry system in addition to Malambo<br \/>\nCompany confident Malambo shaping up as a strong target<br \/>\nAssays pending from Tambo South <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report:<\/em> Belararox has flagged a second porphyry system at the Tambo South target at its Toro-Malambo-Tambo project Argentina.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Notably, TMT is approximately 53km to the south of NGEx Minerals (TSX-V:NGEX) Lunahuasi project, where NGEX recently announced a drill intercept of 23m at 23.92% CuEq from a depth of 220m as part of a broader drill intercept of 102m at 4.56% CuEq from a depth of 192m.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/belararox-brx\/\"><strong>Belararox (ASX:BRX)<\/strong><\/a> found the second target at Tambo South via geological mapping \u2013 the first being Malambo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are pleased to announce the completion of geological mapping at Tambo South target in our TMT Project, confirming another significant porphyry system in addition to Malambo,\u201d managing director Arvind Misra said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis mapping and our extensive geochemical sampling program have identified an intrusive complex of dacite and diorites with characteristic porphyry features and alteration zones.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have identified a new surface exploration area extending 400m by 250m, and we look forward to integrating these findings with the soon-to-be-released assay results to further evaluate this promising target.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Malambo shaping up as a strong target<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Belararox exploration director Jason Ward says the initial fieldwork at the first system found (Malambo) supports the company\u2019s interpretation from satellite studies that this is a porphyry target.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMapping has identified multi-phase intrusive rocks which are strongly fractured and show porphyry-style potassic, intermediate argillic, phyllic and propylitic alteration,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe await assay results to define the geochemical zonation and increase our understanding of the system.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGiven the ideal structural setting and location between two of the world\u2019s most prolific metallogenic belts and surrounded by major deposits, Malambo is shaping up as a strong target.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pic: 12 prospective targets for hydrothermal alteration associated with porphyry mineralisation and\/or epithermal mineral systems have been delineated in the TMT project. Source: BRX.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Assays pending for 197 samples<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Tambo South target is the fourth target out of 12 at the project where fieldwork has been completed.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 197 geochemical samples have been collected and sent for geochemical analysis, with assays pending.<\/p>\n<p>An additional 104 samples will be sent to the lab in October 2024, and another 159 geochemical samples are planned to be collected from the central, eastern, northeastern, and southeastern parts of the target area to enlarge the initial sampling program.<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s upcoming work plans at the TMT project includes:<\/p>\n<p>Analysis of geochemical results and geological evaluation of the Tambo South target;<br \/>\nFull 3D geochemical analysis of Tambo South;<br \/>\nCharacterise hydrothermal alteration minerals (clay-mica) using Terraspec4 at Tambo South;<br \/>\nGenerate the 3D geological model for the Malambo target and define drilling targets;<br \/>\nCompletion of environmental baseline to ensure compliance with flora and fauna regulations; and<br \/>\nInterpretation of regional geophysical data (provided by the National Geological Service of Argentina.<\/p>\n<p>The Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) of Malambo and Tambo South are also being reviewed to expand future Malambo drilling from the current 2,000 meters to more than 5,000 meters and acquire a new Tambo South drilling permit for approximately 3,000 meters.<\/p>\n<p>Belararox expects completion in the coming months.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><span class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>This article was developed in collaboration with Belararox, a Stockhead advertiser at the time of publishing.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>This article does not constitute financial product advice.
