{"id":10939,"date":"2024-06-17T02:53:40","date_gmt":"2024-06-17T02:53:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=10939"},"modified":"2024-06-17T02:53:40","modified_gmt":"2024-06-17T02:53:40","slug":"58m-at-2723ppm-venture-breaks-rare-earths-drill-hit-record-at-jupiter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=10939","title":{"rendered":"58m at 2,723ppm: Venture breaks rare earths drill hit record at Jupiter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Impressive aircore drilling results have been received from the large-scale, high-grade, Jupiter rare earth discovery<br \/>\nThe best intersection to date \u2013 58m at 2,723ppm TREO \u2013 has been delivered in the southern area of Jupiter<br \/>\nAssays from a further 42 drill holes are still pending <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Special report: Aircore drilling at Venture Minerals\u2019 Jupiter discovery has eclipsed all expectations with the whole southern zone delivering high-grade REE mineralisation. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/venture-minerals-vms\/\">Venture Minerals\u2019 (ASX:VMS)<\/a> Jupiter discovery is part of the wider Brothers rare earth (REE project) west of Mt Magnet, WA.<\/p>\n<p>A stone\u2019s throw from <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/lynas-lyc\/\">Lynas Rare Earth\u2019s (ASX:LYC)<\/a> Mt Weld concentrator as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/iluka-resources-ilu\/\">Iluka Resources\u2019 (ASX:ILU)<\/a> Eneabba refinery, VMS identified the large (40km2) REE target during reconnaissance drilling in November last year.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, stand-out high-grade hits have been returned including the highest-grade clay hosted intersection ever in Australia.<\/p>\n<p>That result \u2013 48m at 3,025ppm total rare earth oxides (TREO) \u2013 placed the company well above its peers in terms of both grade and scale but it has now broken that record with a new 58m at 2,723ppm TREO intersection.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Four top drill intersections to date <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The latest batch of assays include four of the top 10 drill intersections recorded to date, with the whole southern zone of the 40km2 target delivering broad REE mineralisation.<\/p>\n<p>Other highlight intersections include:<\/p>\n<p>48m at 1,661ppm TREO, including 16m at 2,469ppm TREO;<br \/>\n32m at 1,652ppm TREO, including 8m at 2,339 ppm TREO; and<br \/>\n57m at 1,981ppm TREO, including 8m at 3,108ppm TREO.<\/p>\n<p>VMS says the magnetic rare earth component consistently averages 23% while uranium and thorium levels remain low through the entire Jupiter system.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>\u2018Very robustly mineralised system\u2019 <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>\u201cThe most telling way to assess exploration success is to compare the before and after results,\u201d VMS managing director Philippa Leggat says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you see infill drilling delivering a sea of magenta that represents the highest grade, like we see in the southern area of Jupiter, you know you\u2019re onto a very, robustly mineralised system.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Jupiter drill holes coloured by TREO grade thickness.
