{"id":10916,"date":"2024-06-17T00:31:47","date_gmt":"2024-06-17T00:31:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=10916"},"modified":"2024-06-17T00:31:47","modified_gmt":"2024-06-17T00:31:47","slug":"iltani-steps-out-550m-at-orient-west-hits-more-thick-high-grade-silver","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=10916","title":{"rendered":"Iltani steps out 550m at Orient West, hits more thick high grade silver"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>RC drilling at Orient West has run into intersections up to 45g\/t silver equivalent @ 69m thick<br \/>\nMineralised strike extended 550m<br \/>\nExploration shows potential for strike to extend a further 600m <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report<\/em><\/strong><strong>: Results from three RC drill holes have delivered a 550m strike extension to Iltani Resources\u2019 Orient silver-indium discovery. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/iltani-resources-ilt\/\"><strong>Iltani Resources\u2019 (ASX:ILT)<\/strong><\/a> Orient project in north QLD hosts Australia\u2019s highest grades of indium, up to a whopping 1070g\/t.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the start of the latest program, the company had already drilled ~20 RC holes that showed multiple silver-lead-zinc-indium-tin hits indicating Orient\u2019s potential to be a world-class discovery.<\/p>\n<p>The explorer believes that the tenure contains a large-scale system of outcropping mineralisation which is likely hosted in a deeper porphyry complex.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Drilling results<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>RC holes ORR026 to ORR28 tested the northwest extension of the Orient West vein system, stepping out 550m along strike from previous drilling and successfully intersecting extensive silver-lead-zinc-indium mineralisation.<\/p>\n<p>Multiple zones of mineralisation were hit, including one up to 69m thick at 45g\/t silver equivalent from 111m at hole ORR026.<\/p>\n<p>Other highlights include:<\/p>\n<p>18m at 102g\/t silver equivalent from 72m at hole ORR027<br \/>\n10m at 69 g\/t silver equivalent from 21m at hole ORR028<\/p>\n<p>The northern part of the Orient West vein system continues to be open to the northeast and down dip and <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/one-hole-transforms-the-potential-of-iltanis-orient-silver-project\/\"><strong>complements the results out of hole ORR025<\/strong><\/a> 650m southwest of Orient West.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Orient West intersection of hole ORR026. Pic supplied: (ILT)<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Mineralisation extended<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Based on mapping, old workings and geophysical exploration, Iltani estimates the vein system could extend more than 600m northeast of ORR028, representing a compelling drill target.<\/p>\n<p>Drilling has now defined mineralisation over a &gt;1,250m strike extent and to 150m depth at Orient West, with results pending for the remaining seven holes, and once received an initial exploration target will for the project will be defined.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Orient project drill plan. Pic supplied: (ILT)<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIltani\u2019s recently completed 11 hole RC drilling program at Orient West continues to deliver,\u201d ILT MD Donald Garner says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are pleased to report multiple material assay results for ORR026 to ORR028, which have demonstrated that the Orient West vein system extends a further 550m to the northeast of our previous drilling.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Orient West vein system is open down dip and to the northeast of our current drilling, and based on our exploration work, we believe that there is at least an additional 600m of strike length to be drill tested to the northeast. This represents a compelling drill target.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe drilling continues to expand the size of the Orient West system and more importantly demonstrates we have the room required for the tonnage needed to develop a significant ore body.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAssay results are pending for RC holes ORR029 to ORR035, which could extend drill tested mineralisation a further 350m to the southwest.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen all results have been received, work will commence on an initial exploration target estimate for Orient West.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Additional drilling will be conducted to infill the current relatively broad-spaced drill pattern to as part of a maiden mineral resource estimation and to test down dip and strike extensions to the current drilling.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><span class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>This article was developed in collaboration with Iltani Resources, a Stockhead advertiser at the time of publishing.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>This article does not constitute financial product advice.
