{"id":10914,"date":"2024-06-17T00:33:10","date_gmt":"2024-06-17T00:33:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=10914"},"modified":"2024-06-17T00:33:10","modified_gmt":"2024-06-17T00:33:10","slug":"adavale-resources-eyes-more-promising-uranium-tenure-in-south-australia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=10914","title":{"rendered":"Adavale Resources eyes more promising uranium tenure in South Australia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Adavale applies for 2,446km2 of additional uranium tenure in SA<br \/>\nApplications include areas with demonstrated high grade uranium prospectivity<br \/>\nApplications will expand company\u2019s tenure to 5,103 km2<br \/>\nDrilling to commence at Maree uranium project shortly<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report:<\/em> Adavale Resources has expanded its uranium footprint in South Australia, applying for four new exploration licences to secure 2,446 km2 east of Ceduna.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Exploration Licence Applications (ELAs) include palaeochannels with demonstrated high grade uranium prospectivity, associated with the regionally significant Hiltaba Suite granites that have been interpreted to be the source for the ISOenergy\u2019s (TSXV:ISO) high-grade Yarranna deposit (850ppm to 3,550ppm U3O8) within the Narlaby palaeochannel sequence.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, two applications cover 189 km2 and 260 km2 near Yarranna where <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/adavale-resources-add\/\">Adavale Resources (ASX:ADD)<\/a> believes that there is potential for economic uranium mineralisation to be discovered within the application areas where historical drilling is limited.<\/p>\n<p>The other two exploration licences cover ~1,997km2, around 90km south of Tarcoola and 95km northeast of Ceduna where no exploration for uranium has been conducted on the Tolmer palaeochannel within the application area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>5,103km2 of prospective uranium tenure<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Adavale executive director David Riekie says the ELA\u2019s will significantly expand the company\u2019s regional uranium focus in South Australia \u2013 up to around 5,103km2 \u2013 and provides a solid foundation for future exploration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe see these licence applications as a timely and strategic expansion in a region that has demonstrated high grade uranium intersections within the Narlaby palaeochannel and other similar systems shedding from the Hiltaba granites,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHistorical drilling primarily focussed on shallow mineral sands potential, which as a consequence, identified a number of regional palaeochannels.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA detailed review of this information available from the South Australian Government\u2019s Resource Information Gateway was undertaken by our expanded geological team and their strong recommendations to apply for those areas that were both prospective and available.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Pic: Adavale Exploration Licence application areas and regional palaeochannels and uranium occurrences identified.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Marree drilling kicking off shortly<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>While the grant of the ELAs is pending, the plan is to secure heritage clearances along tracks and trails crossing interpreted basement low\/depocentre on western margin of the Marree Embayment uranium project (also in South Australia) and additional possible targets for advanced exploration.<\/p>\n<p>The company will then co-ordinate and design drilling programs at Marree to test structures for uranium redox boundaries at MacDonnell Creek and surrounds.
