Well, you\u2019re in luck \u2013 because scientists have devised a short but extreme exercise program guaranteed to whip you into shape in less time.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Just a heads-up: If you\u2019re not so fit, get the medical all-clear first before trying this, and to make sure you\u2019re getting the most from this scientifically-researched workout program, read all about <a class=\"body-link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bodyandsoul.com.au\/fitness\/training+tips\/high+intensity+interval+training+,25929\">high intensity interval training (HIIT)<\/a> and be ready for 7 glorious sweaty minutes of working out!<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Jumping jacks<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Do as many reps of each exercise as you can in 30 seconds, then have a 10-second break (maximum) before moving on to the next one. Wall sit<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Slowly slide down until thighs are parallel to floor. Hold briefly. Repeat.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Push-up<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Set hands slightly wider than shoulder width, push up until arms are straight.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Abdominal crunch<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With knees bent and feet flat, lift head and shoulders up.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Chair triceps dip<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Keep elbows tucked in as you lower yourself. High knees running<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stand tall, run in place as fast as you can, keeping knees up.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>10. Lunge<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Step forward, both knees bent at 90\u00b0. Rotational push-up<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As you push up, rotate body so right arm lifts up overhead. Return to start, rotate, lifting left arm.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>12. Side plank<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lie on right side on elbow, push up to form a triangle.
