highlight the best (and sometimes worst) performing ASX stocks in morning trade using live data, to provide a short, sharp update to help frame the trading day by showing the biggest movers in percentage terms that have made announcements.<\/p>\n<p>The market opens at 10am (eastern time) and the data is taken at 10:15am, once every ASX stock has started trading \u2013\u00a0for better or worse \u2013\u00a0and then I do my best to make sense of who\u2019s moving where and why it might be happening.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway\u2026 here\u2019s what\u2019s been happening since the doors were opened this morning\u2026<\/p>\n<p>The ASX opened higher this morning, with the benchmark jumping +0.65% led by an early surge in tech stocks and gold.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>WINNERS<\/h2>\n<p>Stocks href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/firetail-resources-ftl\/\"><strong>Firetail Resources (ASX:FTL)<\/strong><\/a> on news that the company is set to acquire up to 80% of the York Harbour copper-zinc-silver project in Newfoundland, Canada via a staged earn-in agreement.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/adavale-resources-add\/\"><strong>Adavale Resources (ASX:ADD)<\/strong><\/a> \u00a0was climbing after announcing that exploration at its <span>Marree Embayment Project<\/span> has <span>identified <\/span><span>a significant new area for uranium deposition<\/span> <span>that will be a priority drill target<\/span><span> for the company.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/osteopore-osx\/\"><strong>Osteopore (ASX:OSX)<\/strong><\/a> was back in the news after revealing that its $18.7 million partnership with Singapore\u2019s NDCS and A*STAR to develop next-generation dental implants has reached \u201csignificant milestones\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/structural-monitoring-systems\/\"><strong>Structural Monitoring Systems (ASX:SMN)<\/strong><\/a> rose quickly after reporting a forecast FY2024 annual revenue of $28.38m, which the company says represents year on year growth of 27%, building on revenue growth of 43% in
