Good morning everyone, and welcome to 05 June, 2024 \u2013 an important day in the history of the world for a variety of reasons.<\/p>\n

It was on this day in 1661 that a spotty young herbert named Isaac Newton was admitted to Trinity College in Cambridge, shortly before he was hit in the head by a wayward piece of fruit, which led him to invent gravity and stop everything on the planet from just bobbing around aimlessly in the air.<\/p>\n

On this day in 1799, naturists Alexander von Humboldt and Aim\u00e9 Bonpland set sail in the Pizarro from Spain, beginning a five-year, fully nude odyssey through Latin America.<\/p>\n

Sorry\u2026 that\u2019s meant to say naturalists. My bad\u2026 let me try that again.<\/p>\n

On this day in 1799, naturalists Alexander von Humboldt and Aim\u00e9 Bonpland set sail in the Pizarro from Spain, beginning a five-year expedition to Latin America, returning with the blueprints for how to make millions of dollars a year by busking with pan flutes and guitars.<\/p>\n

And on this day in 1829, HMS Pickle captured the armed slave ship Voladora off the coast of Cuba, which led indirectly to the rise of Communism on the island, and directly to the common English hard-luck term \u201cto find oneself in a bit of a pickle\u201d.<\/p>\n

Luckily for you, you won\u2019t won\u2019t have to rampage through Latin America in the nude for five years to get the best of the pre-market info you need to get the week started off right\u2026 unless you really want to, in which case, I am totally up for that as well.<\/p>\n

Yesterday\u2019s Small Cap Winners included:<\/h2>\n

Little known med-tech player Opticomm (ASX:OPC)<\/a> surged after announcing the launch of a \u201cground-breaking new microscopic medical imaging device\u201d called InVue, which the company says has been designed \u201cto enable precision surgery by putting real-time digital pathology access directly into the hands of surgeons\u201d.<\/p>\n

Condor Energy (ASX:CND)<\/a> was moving well after providing an update on exploration progress at its Technical Evaluation Agreement (TEA) off the coast of Peru.<\/p>\n

Condor is reporting that there is evidence of multiple petroleum systems at two large oil prospects (Raya and Bonito) and regional mapping shows that the primary source rock interval, the Oligocene\/Miocene aged Heath Formation, is mature for oil generation over much of the TEA area.<\/p>\n

Perpetual Resources (ASX:PEC)<\/a> is flexing hard again. The reason? It\u2019s rare earths this time. The company has announced the commencement of its exploration program at the Raptor REE project, which is situated in the prolific Caldeira REE complex in Minas Gerais, Brazil.<\/p>\n

Specifically, this very initial stage of the operation represents the due diligence exploration phase. Raptor covers a strategic area of 380 hectares, and has some nearology chops as reason for the company to be excited. It\u2019s located close to Meteoric Resources\u2019 (ASX:MEI)<\/a> Tier 1 Caldeira ionic clay REE project, which boasts a JORC Mineral Resource Estimate of 545 million tonnes at 2,561ppm TREO comprising 24.1% MREO.<\/p>\n

G11 Resources (ASX:G11)<\/a> surged after announcing strong new assay and down hole geophysics results from a recent reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at Wilandra Central. That\u2019s a key target area within the 30km-long Wilandra Copper Corridor of the company\u2019s wholly owned Koonenberry project.<\/p>\n

Genetic Signatures (ASX: GSS)<\/a>, a company known for its molecular diagnostic solutions for infectious diseases, has just received clearance from the US FDA for its EasyScreen Gastrointestinal Parasite Detection Kit and GS1 automated workflow. This is a significant announcement in the world of clinical diagnostics, especially for expanded testing for gastrointestinal (GI) parasites.<\/p>\n

The approval means that healthcare professionals now have a powerful new tool to accurately and quickly diagnose these kinds of infections.<\/p>\n
