{"id":10510,"date":"2024-06-04T02:50:47","date_gmt":"2024-06-04T02:50:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=10510"},"modified":"2024-06-04T02:50:47","modified_gmt":"2024-06-04T02:50:47","slug":"new-age-exploration-identifies-hemi-style-gold-targets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=10510","title":{"rendered":"New Age Exploration identifies \u2018Hemi-style\u2019 gold targets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New Age Exploration identifies new Hemi-style intrusive gold targets at its Wagyu project<br \/>\nTwo new high-priority gravity targets are coincident with targets identified from existing magnetic data<br \/>\nSeismic and soil sampling results pending while PoW for aircore drilling nears approval<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report:<\/em> Recently completed ground gravity geophysical surveys across New Age Exploration\u2019s Wagyu project in Central Pilbara, WA, has identified new Hemi-style intrusive gold targets.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wagyu \u2013 the company\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/new-age-completes-acquisition-of-rare-hemi-style-wagyu-gold-project\/\"><strong>newest acquisition<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 sits within the same gold-rich region where\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/de-grey-mining-deg\/\"><strong>De Grey Mining\u2019s (ASX: DEG)<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0world-class 10.5Moz Hemi gold deposit lies.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/new-age-exploration-nae\/\"><strong>New Age Exploration (ASX:NAE)<\/strong><\/a> has had its eye on the project for some time and believes the potentially \u201ctransformative\u201d acquisition could host the same type of intrusive-hosted gold that transformed DEG from just another small cap explorer into one of the largest ASX gold plays.<\/p>\n<p>Wagyu sits on an exploration tenement halfway between Hemi and 600,000oz Withnell deposit, also held by DEG and potentially the site of a regional concentrator.<\/p>\n<p>Not one to waste time, NAE quickly put boots on the ground and started a suite of gravity and passive seismic surveys along with soil sampling to refine drilling targets.<\/p>\n<p>It also submitted a program of work for aircore drilling.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Targets defined on 50m by 50m spaced ground gravity survey. Pic: New Age Exploration<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Priority gold targets<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The gravity survey generated six targets, two of which were ranked as high-priority targets as they are coincident with targets identified from a review of existing airborne magnetic data.<\/p>\n<p>Target #1 is the largest area identified at 400m wide (east-west) and 300m from north to south. It has a moderately high gravity response co-incident with a high magnetic response.<\/p>\n<p>Target #3 has a subtle gravity anomaly. It has a \u201csaddle\u201d shape with a gravity low in the centre coincident with a magnetic high. While the gravity response is weak, the shape warrants further investigation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled with the successful completion of the initial phases of our on-ground exploration at the Wagyu gold project,\u201d executive director Joshua Wellisch said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe gravity survey results have exceeded our expectations, revealing highly promising targets that we are eager to drill test in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis project represents a significant opportunity for gold exploration, situated directly along strike from De Grey Mining\u2019s Hemi gold deposit, the largest gold discovery in the Pilbara region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis strategic acquisition not only enhances our footprint in the Central Pilbara but also aligns perfectly with our objective of securing and developing high-potential exploration tenures.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Upcoming activity<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>NAE is currently awaiting results from the passive seismic and soil sampling programs.<\/p>\n<p>The company also plans to acquire higher-resolution airborne magnetic geophysics data, which can be used in 3D inversion modelling, enabling superior interpretation of the underlying geology.<\/p>\n<p>Drill testing is expected to begin in the coming weeks or months with a Programme of Work (PoW) for aircore drilling in an advanced stage of approvals and a follow-up PoW for RC drilling recently completed.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the company is confident that cultural heritage surveys will be completed by the end of June.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><span class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>This article was developed in collaboration with New Age Exploration, a Stockhead advertiser at the time of publishing. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This article does not constitute financial product advice.
