Special report: QX Resources has returned some of the highest-grade samples of lithium ever recorded in the Pilbara.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Another new lithium discovery is emerging in the Pilbara after QX Resources (ASX: QXR)<\/strong><\/a> reported assays of up to 3.8% lithium dioxide and 1.3% rubidium from rock chip samples at its Turner River project.<\/p>\n

The encouraging results came from pegmatites found in a new area of interest at Turner River and just 250m from where the first samples collected last year graded as much as 4.9% lithium dioxide.<\/p>\n

Turner River is part of what QXR is describing as the \u201cSplit Rock Supersuite\u201d, which is associated with the Wodgina and Pilgangoora lithium mines, as well as the 18Mt Marble Bar project being developed by Global Lithium Resources (ASX: GL1)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

QXR owns 100% of four projects in the region.<\/p>\n

Prime location in the \u2018heart of the Pilbara\u2019<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Detailed airborne geophysics have been completed over Turner River and the results are currently being assessed by QXR\u2019s specialist consulting team. The findings are expected to be merged with district-scale geophysics and spectral image analysis to better define mineralised extensions and drilling targets.<\/p>\n

QXR managing director Steve Promnitz said the high-grade results validated a \u201cmuch more structured and comprehensive\u201d exploration campaign at Turner River.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fact that we continue to identify high grade samples over a broader area is very positive and warrants immediate follow up,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese are some of the highest-grade samples of lithium recorded in the Pilbara and it has reinforced our confidence in this project.<\/p>\n

\u201cRecent results by other companies reaffirm the Pilbara as the prime location globally for major lithium hard rock discoveries and QXR holds favourable ground in the heart of the Pilbara.\u201d<\/p>\n

QXR said the airborne geophysics report would be released imminently.<\/p>\n
