{"id":1019,"date":"2023-11-06T02:15:28","date_gmt":"2023-11-06T02:15:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=1019"},"modified":"2023-11-06T02:15:28","modified_gmt":"2023-11-06T02:15:28","slug":"strickland-looks-to-squeeze-all-the-juice-out-of-marwari-discovery-after-spectacular-31m-at-5-6g-t-gold-hit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=1019","title":{"rendered":"Strickland looks to squeeze all the juice out of Marwari discovery after spectacular 31m at 5.6g\/t gold hit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u2018Aggressive\u2019 RC drilling has commenced across an initial 300m of the mapped 700m strike at the Marwari gold discovery<br \/>\nOne hole drilled, four remaining<br \/>\nStrickland remains extremely well funded after the sale of its Millrose gold deposit to Northern Star Resources for $61m<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>With one hole down and four to go, Strickland Metals is committing RC and diamond drill rigs to its Marwari gold discovery, where it hit a spectacular 31m @ 5.6g\/t Au.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/strickland-metals-stk\/\"><strong>Strickland Metals (ASX:STK)<\/strong><\/a> is on a tear ever since it sold its Millrose gold project to <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/northern-star-resources-nst\/\"><strong>Northern Star Resources (ASX:NST)<\/strong><\/a> for a whopping $61m.<\/p>\n<p>STK is now laser-focused on squeezing as much as it can out of its underexplored Horse Well gold project in the prolific Yandal greenstone belt. In September, it <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/31m-at-5-6-g-t-strickland-makes-spectacular-new-gold-discovery-at-yandal\/\"><strong>discovered Marwari<\/strong><\/a>, which could potentially host a very significant gold deposit.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Drilling plans at Marwari<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Since first drilling into Marwari and intersecting gold, STK has used a number of AC holes to the north and south of the HWAC1472, as well as magnetic inversion modelling, to identify the size and structure of the gold mineralisation.<\/p>\n<p>However, the explorer reckons it\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/strickland-has-only-just-scratched-the-surface-of-the-massive-high-grade-gold-potential-at-marwari\/\"><strong>only just scratched the surface<\/strong><\/a><strong>.<\/strong> The drillbit is spinning again with a five-hole program to test across and down dip of the identified 700m Marwari strike.<\/p>\n<p>Those five holes will test across an initial 300m, targeting the peak of the magnetic inversion with one hole already complete.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe hole was initially planned to a target depth of 180m, however, we decided to continue the hole for a further 111m to a total depth of 291m,\u201d STK MD Andrew Bray says.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Diamond drilling being completed at hole MWDD001 at Marwari. Pic supplied: (STK)<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>MWDD002 is currently being drilled 40m to the south of the lauded HWAC1472 Marwari discovery hole.<\/p>\n<p>Holes 3-5 are about to commence, with an RC rig already at site ready to go.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStrickland has elected to commit both rigs to drilling at Marwari for the immediate future.
