{"id":10135,"date":"2024-05-27T02:17:02","date_gmt":"2024-05-27T02:17:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=10135"},"modified":"2024-05-27T02:17:02","modified_gmt":"2024-05-27T02:17:02","slug":"culpeo-minerals-finds-up-to-2-62-copper-in-rock-chips-at-vista-montana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=10135","title":{"rendered":"Culpeo Minerals finds up to 2.62% copper in rock chips at Vista Montana"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Reconnaissance rock-chip samples collected at the Vista Montana prospect have returned high-grade results of up to 2.62% copper<br \/>\nSample results defined an area of anomalous copper 1km-long by 400m wide<br \/>\nDrilling continues at Lana Corina within the &gt;3km prospective corridor<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special report<\/em>: Strong assay results have confirmed the presence of a large, at surface, copper bearing system at Culpeo Minerals\u2019 Vista Montana prospect, part of the Lana Corina Project in Chile. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/culpeo-minerals-cpo\/\"><strong>Culpeo Minerals (ASX:CPO)<\/strong><\/a> is making massive strides in Chile, the world\u2019s largest copper producer, after increasing its stake in the Lana Corina Project to 50% in April.<\/p>\n<p>Lana Corina is a potential beast, currently containing high-grade copper associated with four known breccia pipes in the upper levels of a large, 3km long copper porphyry system.<\/p>\n<p>CPO believes the geological setting of the project is analogous to Teck Resources\u2019 Carmen de Andacollo mine, which has reserves of 250Mt at 0.62% copper and 0.25% gold, just 80km northwest.<\/p>\n<p>Guy Le Page, director and responsible executive at Perth-based financial services provider RM Corporate Finance, has earmarked CPO as a major re-rate opportunity on the back of hits over 2-3km of strike, including a headline drill intercept of 257m at 1.10% copper equivalent from 170m.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Plan view of Vista Montana highlighting grades up to 2.62% copper from surface sampling results. Pic: Culpeo Minerals<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Copper assays in rock chip samples <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The copper explorer is continuing to refine its exploration strategy with recent reconnaissance rock chip samples defining an area of anomalous copper over 1km-long by 400m wide at Vista Montana.<\/p>\n<p>Results have returned up to 2.62% copper and will be followed up with geological mapping and further systematic sampling planned for the coming months to aid drill targeting.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Plan view of the Lana Corina Project with location of Vista Montana and Lana Corina prospects.
